The Art Elements required for this Art Project: Line, Shape, Form, Value, Space
In this unit, we highlighted the art vocabulary words OPTICAL ILLUSION (OP ART) and ABSTRACT ART. A handout was given to each student with the above vocabulary words and the criteria for the art project. The criteria checklist is complied of 10 bullet points explaining each step in detail.
A powerpoint with verbal explanation was given, along with the hand-out and the materials to complete the Notebook Op Art lesson. The students are responsible for checking off each criteria during the creative process. One full week of art classroom time was allotted for this lesson.
