Students draw contour line drawing from Still Life (photograph above). The objects in the Contour Line drawing are transformed from shapes to forms using value to shade with pencil. Students use value scale to determine the lightness to darkness of each shape. They also observe the catch lights that are on each of the reflective surfaces to decipher the lightest value in the objects.
